Poetry Competition Winners

September 10, 2020

Every year Foster for Plymouth hold a Poetry Competition which is open to all children currently in Foster Care with us.

This year the competition was fierce and it was difficult for us to make a decision, but two of thw winning entries are shown below:

POEM 1

Best friend = Family
I want to tell
You something,
I hope you won’t be offended
But because you’re
Not my sister,
That makes you my
Bestest friend. ❤️❤️

POEM 2

Tuck me in
Tuck me in mum
Mum says sorry my leg is numb
Tuck me in dad
Dad says sorry I’m talking to Chad

Tuck me in Lee
Oh wait he’s only three
Tuck me in Kelly
Kelly says “Sorry I’m watching telly”

Tuck me in Blake
Blake says “Sorry I’m eating cake”,
Tuck me in James
James says “Sorry I’m playing games”

I hope you enjoyed reading them as much as we did. If you are feeling creative and would like to send in your Poems, regardless of whether there is a competition on or not, we’d love to read it. And if you are happy for it to be published on here, then please let us know and we’ll get up on the website.

Lastly, we’d just like to thanks everyone who took part. We look forward to reading more again next year.
